The council maintains a "Charity Stall" at each market site, which is available on a specific day each week.

The stall is available free of charge to registered local charities and local branches of national charities, amateur sporting and local organisations.

Bookings for this facility (on a "first come - first served" basis) can be made by contacting the relevant market office, in person, by phone, by fax, by email or by letter.

Once a date has been agreed for you to stand, we require that you confirm the booking in writing on the charity's headed paper.

However some commodities and the holding of a raffle regrettable cannot be allowed without the appropriate licence.

The Markets Service also maintains the  "Mayors Charity Stall" outside Northgate House, Halifax on Friday’s and Saturdays each week.  The stall is available at a charge of £20 to registered local charities and local branches of national charities.  Bookings for this facility (on a "first come - first served" basis) can be made by contacting the relevant market office, in person, by phone, by fax or by letter.
