The purpose of developing this event was to combine the craft event with local produce to encourage social interaction and reduce food miles whilst enhancing the street scene of the Halifax town centre.

Shoppers can have the confidence to ask questions of the local producers as to the origins of the food on sale.

This event features mainly home grown produce ranging from: Jams and preserves, Cakes, home reared meats, cheese, plants, flowers, herbs, fruit and vegetables etc.

Calderdale Council encourages the attendance of local producers who are given priority when allocating stalls, for further information contact the Market's Service.
